<description>Looking forward to the pics Mike.

I have to agree, it was a good trip (except for knicking up the prop on our rental boat). The rental company (EZ Marina and Storage, Brant Lake NY) treated us very poorly in resolving the issue, which was a surprise after showing upalmost 20 minutes late when delivering the boat. At nearly $400 for two days, you would think they would be a little more thankful for the business and not gouge their customers on the replacement value of what was a little more than regular wear and tear. Here is my email to EZ Marina and and Storage, Brant Lake NY.

Thanks again for helping us enjoy our stay in the Adirondacks. The boat was great and the service provided prior to arrival was outstanding.

With that said, I feel obligated to let you know I was kind of disappointed in a couple things. First off, the boat was 15 minutes late showing up at the launch. I made it a point to pay ahead of time in an effort to not waste any more of the morning than we had to (being that your earliest rental time was 9 AM). Secondly, I feel as though we should have had the opportunity to discuss the damage we admittedly caused to the propeller. The replacement bill for the damage was coldly presented to me without explanation as something “I supposed to pay”. I and my party treated the boat as though it was our own, being as careful and respectful as possible and the damage caused to it was purely accidental. While I am not denying responsibility, I strongly feel that I should have been provided with an explanation of the charges as I am unable to find a 3 blade propeller for a 2006 Mercury 50 HP that costs more than $70 (I was charged $96). As I am sure there are other costs involved with it replacement I was in the dark as to what was involved.

<description>Well nothing ever goes as planned! Does it?

I have to say first that this lake is beautiful and a good time was had by all. The fish however were not in abundance. I did manage a small pool win with a less than average large mouth. But I assure you that’s not saying much!

I already set up my reservations to return to the Adirondacks next month. This time I am bringing my sons and we are planning to attack Schroon River with the fly rods, so if nothing else it will be a good opportunity to practice my fly casting.

I do have a few pics to post and will get them up shortly, Thanks for visiting and I will post to ya soon.
